FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD 11:00 AM, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23, 2005 AT THE BEHNER FUNERAL HOME WITH REV. THOMAS RAPHAEL-NAKHOS OFFICIATING. HIS BODY WILL BE CREMATED AFTER THE SERVICE.

Earl C."Casey" Goodwin was born September 6, 1924 in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of Earl Orville and Flossie (Adams) Goodwin. Casey lived all his life in Jefferson county and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He served in the South Pacific on the U.S.S. Chicago.
Casey married Jessie Irene Keyte on June 14, 1954 in New London, Iowa. Jessie died May 28, 1984.
Casey was an electrician for Louden Machinery Company for 45 years before his retirement. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #2271 in Fairfield and attended Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville, Iowa. Casey umpired many softball and Little League baseball games.
Survivors include a stepson, Donald and Marilyn Nance of Libertyville, Iowa and a stepdaughter, Arlene Spencer of Cleveland, Ohio. Casey was grandfather to 13 grandchildren and had several great-grandchildren. He also has one sister living; Mildred Bates Smith of Fairfield, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers; Donald and Albert Goodwin, two sisters; Violet Kaska and Dorothy St. Clair, one stepson, Francis Nance and one stepdaughter, Darlene Rountree.
