Edith M. Baldosier, age 101 of Fairfield, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Parkview Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Germanville Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Bieker officiating. Burial will be in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the Hope Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund. Cards and memorials may be sent to Ron Baldosier: 1718 Tamarack, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.
Edith was born September 27, 1910 in Walnut Township (Jefferson County), to William G. and Lena Pohren Bekel. She married Max Woodrow Baldosier on April 22, 1936 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville. He passed away December 9, 1996.
She lived her entire life in Jefferson County, working at Parson College in the Housekeeping Department and as a Homemaker. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, gardening and tending flowers.
Edith is survived by 1 son: Ronald (Vicki) Baldosier of Fairfield, 1 son-in-law: Bernard Carroll of Brighton, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 sister: Elsie (Rollie) Zihlman of Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Max, 2 brothers: Lloyd and Harry Bekel and 1 daughter: Joyce Ann Carroll.
