Edmond 'Eddie' R. Watson

Edmond, R. 'Eddie' Watson, age 91 of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield, IA.

The body has been cremated. The family requests no flowers. Visitation will be held 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA.

Edmond R. Watson was born July 12, 1917 in Glasgow, IA to E.R. 'Ray' and Rhuie E. (Litton) Watson. On June 7, 1941, he married Vivian M. Heston in Kahoka, MO. She died December 11, 1999.

Eddie attended school in Glasgow and Lockridge. He farmed and was an ironworker, mechanic and retired in 1982 from Fairfield Engineering. He could make anything from wood or iron in his shop.

He is survived by his children and their families: Terry Watson of Burlington, IA, Ronald Watson of Douds, Patricia Hunter of Mt. Pleasant, IA, and Shirley Trueblood of Marion, IA. Eddie was blessed with ten grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Survivors include one brother, William Watson of rural Lockridge and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant son and two brothers.
