Family visitation will be held 2pm-4pm, Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Behner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, January 31, 2005 at the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield.
Edna Matilda Bogner was born November 29, 1908 in rural Lockridge, IA to Aaron Frederick and Amy M. Snider Arnold. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1926 and Magna Cum Laude from Iowa Wesleyan College, receiving her degree in elementary education.
Edna was married to Harold H. Bogner on August 21, 1933 in Falls City, NE. Harold passed away May 23, 1953.
Mrs. Bogner taught school in rural Jefferson County, Lockridge, Logan and Pence schools, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Fairfield, the Dorcas Circle and Quilters, as well as a member of Retired Teachers. She moved to Fairfield in 1976 and entered Long-Term Care in January 2000.
Survivors include her son and his family, Richard Harold Bogner, Sr. and his wife, Norma, two grandchildren; Richard Harold Bogner, Jr. of Fairfield and Lynne Pinegar of Tipton, IA, Four great-granddaughters, Ashley and Abbey Bogner, Erica Crist and Taylor Pinegar.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, brother Glen Arnold, sisters Dorothy Carlson, Beulah Button, Frances Gustason and Amy Schmeig.
Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Fairfield.
