Edna Mae Keller

Edna Mae Metzger Keller, age 82 passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield, Iowa.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, in Fairfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday, July 3, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home.

Edna was born March 6, 1929 in Fairfield, to Ralph and Della Zierlein Metzger. She married Eddie Smith and they later divorced. She then married Merlin "Sparky" Keller.

Edna graduated from East High in Wichita, Kansas. She worked at Jefferson County Hospital and then later at Places as a sales clerk. She liked fishing, BINGO, garage sales and loved her grandchildren.

Edna is survived by 4 children: Rodney (Mary) Smith, Ralph (Deb) Smith and Richard Smith all of Fairfield and Alisa (Jamie) Keiser of Vista, California, 2 step-children: Larry Keller of St. Louis, Missouri and Sharon (Chuck) Workman of Fairfield, 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 1 sister in infancy and 1 granddaughter.
