Edna Lavonne Manley

Edna L. Manley, age 70, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 at Jefferson County Hospital.

Funeral services were held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Edna Lavonne Manley was born April 11, 1936 in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Carson Archer and Margaret (Sinn) Reighard. She lived all of her life in the Fairfield community. She married Jack Rodger Manley in 1957. They were later divorced.

Edna was employed as a Nurses Aide and Medical Aide at Nelson Nursing Home for 16 years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Edna is survived by her children and their families: Cheryl & Mike Royer of Fairfield, and Trina Smalley of Fairfield. Edna has 5 grandchildren: Anissa & Troy Elmore, Nolan Royer, Rayna Royer, Robyn Smalley and Ryan Smalley, and two great-grandchildren: Jasmine Elmore and Ashlyn Elmore.

Survivors include two sisters and one brother: Eva Stever of Fairfield, Wilda Graham of San Diego, CA, and Cloyce Reighard of Burlington, IA.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Donald Reighard and one sister, Wilma Edwards.
