FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD 10:00 AM, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2005 AT BEHNER FUNERAL HOME IN FAIRFIELD. REV. DANNY CARY AND REV. FROSTY VANVOORST WILL OFFICIATE.

Edrith Virginia Grimes was born February 8, 1915 in Bellville, Iowa. She was the daughter of Orville and Ruby (Hale) Ruggles. Edrith was married to Donald Richard Grimes on November 29, 1934 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa and they made their home in Packwood, Iowa. They were the parents of two children, Donovan and Connie. Donald passed away September 22, 1988.

Edrith was a homemaker and a gifted gardener. She grew beautiful flowers for her church, Packwood Christian Church. Edrith also raised canaries, and she was a member of C.W.F. and TTT.

Edrith is survived by her children and their families; son Donovan C. Grimes and his wife Karen of Glendale, AZ and her daughter Connie Thoma of Packwood, IA. Edrith was grandmother to Donovan Grimes of Libertyville, IA, Doug Grimes of Glendale, AZ, and Tammy and Todd Thoma of Kankakee, IL. She was great-grandmother to Wendy and Wes Hartley, Chris Grimes and Cole Jarvis. Edrith was great-great-grandmother to Sarah Johnson.

Surviving siblings are a brother, Cedric Ruggles of Fairfield, IA and a sister, Eloise Baumgartner of Ollie, IA.

Preceding Edrith in death are her parents, Orville and Ruby and her husband, Donald.
