AN ELKS RITUAL SERVICE WAS CONDUCTED BY THE BENEVOLENT AND PROTECTIVE ORDER OF ELK LODGE #1192 AT 6:30 PM.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD 10:30 AM, SATURDAY, AUGUST 6, 2005 AT THE FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF FAIRFIELD WITH REV. KURT MAKOWER OFFICIATING.

Edward H. James, 67, died 5 AM, Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA. He was born September 15, 1937, in Ashland, Ohio, the son of Harold and Vida (Kolb) James. He married Sharon Samuelson on September 7, 1996 in Fairfield, Iowa.
Mr. James was employed as Sales and Marketing Manager for Fairfield Aluminum for 15 years. After retirement, he and his wife, Sharon owned Timeless Treasures Antique Mall on the Fairfield Square for 3 years. He was a member of the Fairfield Elks Lodge #1192, enjoyed golf, travel and attending auctions.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; three sons, Tom James, Tim James and wife Deb, and Dan James and wife, Bev; and four step-daughters, Stephanie Stratton, Paige Nance, Courtney Colby and Jacquelyn Bunnell. Mr. James had seven grandchildren; Kevin, David Scott and Brian James, Alex Coffin, Sophia Stratton and Lauren & Caroline Colby. Also included are one sister, Beverly Laird and husband Bob, one nephew and nieces.
His parents and his sister, Nancy, preceded Mr. James in death.
