Elden Donner Gallup, age 72, died February 14, 2008 at the Iowa Veteran's Hospital in Knoxville, IA. The body has been cremated.
Memorial graveside services with military rites will be held 1:30 PM, Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield with Rev. Dave Peterson officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Legion Post #47 in Fairfield. Cards and memorials may be sent c/o:

Elden Donner Gallup was born October 8, 1935 in Fairfield to Lee and Jessie (Hoffman) Gallup. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1953 and attended Parsons College and the University of Iowa. Elden later worked as a bank auditor for the First National Bank of Detroit. He loved all sports, especially football and baseball. Elden served two years in the United States Army and was proud to have been a part of the first guided missle group which trained at White Sands, NM.
Survivors include two sisters: Helen Fulton of Coon Rapids, IA and Norma Lee Boslough of Broomfield, CO, and an aunt Margaret Hoffman Luvaas of Lees Summit, MO., as well as seven nieces and nephews who were very special to him: Linda Genther of Arvada, CO, Judy Davis of Davenport, IA, Richard Fulton of Carroll, IA, Mary Weaver of Frederick, MD, Alan Boslough of Brighton, CO, Mark Boslough of Albuquerque, NM, and Janet Gugliotto of Sammamish, WA.
Elden was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law: Bruce Boslough and Harold C. Fulton.
