Elizabeth Gallegos

Elizabeth Gallegos age 46, of Fairfield, passed away June 24, 2018, at University of Iowa Hospital & clinics due to injuries from an automobile accident.

Visitation for family & friends will be 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Bingham officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

A memorial has been established and may be mailed to 907 West Grimes, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.

Elizabeth was born August 22, 1971, to Jose and Evangelina (Martinez) Benavides in Logansport, Indiana.  She married Salvador Gallegos in Austin, TX.  They were married for 20 years.

Elizabeth worked as a cashier at LaMorenita Store.  She attended Marion Baptist Church, enjoyed taking long walks with her dog and looked forward to talking with her family.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Salvador Gallegos; three children, Jose (Melissa Tetecatl) Coronado Jr., Ricardo (Iveth) Coronado and Tamicka Burks; 4 grandchildren, Joey, Joselyn, Michalih and Evejelina Coronado; her mother, Evangelina; 10 siblings, Jose Luis, Alicia, Rosa, Eva, Oralia, Deanira, Jamie, Ramiro, Jesus and Javier; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Benavides; and two siblings, Jose and Yolanda Benavides.
