Elizabeth Inga Karbacka, 90, of 1702 D Linden Avenue,Fairfield, Iowa passed away on May 24, 2009 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Ray Karbacka in Fairfield.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m.Friday May 29, 2009 at Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. prospect Road , Ashtabula, Ohio.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Family request memorials be made to Good Sameritan Society and Home Health and Hospice.

She was born June 30, 1918 in Karmar,Sweden,the daughter of Henning and Syster Svenson Hendrickson. She immigrated to Ashtabula,Ohio at the age of 5 years and was a naturalized citizen of the United States.
She married John Carl Karbacka on September 28, 1940 at the home of her parents. He preceedec her in death on March 22, 2009.
She was a 1936 graduate of Ashtabula High School in Ohio and attended Ashtabula Business College. She had a lifelong interest in music and was a charter member of the Women's Ensemble of Bethany Lutheran Church. She sang in several church choirs and was a talented soloist who performed in many community and church musical events, including the Santa Lucia Christmas program held by the Swedish Covenant Church in Sahtabula which She attended as a little girl.
Elizabeth had a great love of flowers and loved to create wonderful arrengements for family and friends. She was a member of several garden clubs in Ashtabula, including the Flower Arrangers Garden Club and the Shorewood Garden Club of which she served as President. She also belonged to the Wayside Garden Club. She volunteered for a peroid of 20 years at the Ashtabula County Medical Center making flower arrangements for the Hospital Gift Shop.
She had been employed by the Astabula Bank and Mortgage Company:Matt Kujala Architectural Engineer, as Secretary. Her last job was with the City of Ashtabula as an Account clerk in the city Income tax office.
She is survived by her son Raymond J. Karbacka and his wife Roseann; Daughter Shareen S. Linton and husband John of Charleston, West Virginia; one sister, Lillian Orgelman (George) of Viero, Florida; Grandchildren Gregory Karbacka(Cheri); Stephen Karbacka (Patty) ; Timothy Karbacka (Joke) ; Christina Welsh (Terrell) ; Devon Handel (Neville); Lesley Linton: 8 Great Grandchildren and one due to be born this September.
She was preceeded in death by her loving husband John, infant daughter Justine; parents Henning and Syster Hendrickson; sister Catherine Kuns Lundstrom; Britta Dispenza; Mildred Wisuri; brothers Kurt Hendrickson and Eric Hendrickson; and her great Granddaughter Grace Eileen Karbacka.
