Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Kruse

Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Kruse, age 82, passed away December 9, 2013 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Betty was born in Grinnell, Kansas on March 4, 1931 to Everett and Louise (Schwarz) Schroeder. She married James Kruse in 1950 in Angelus, Kansas. He passed away December 2, 2010.

Betty worked at the Jefferson County Hospital for many years as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing with her grandkids. Betty's hobbies were sewing, crossword puzzles, playing cards and reading.

Betty is survived by 7 children: Sharon (Charles) Piper of Kirksville, MO, Terry (Janice) Kruse of Agency, IA, Shirley White of Beech Island, SC, Lynda (Nick) Gill of New Carlisle, OH, Gary (Brenda) Kruse of Richland, IA, Tim Kruse of Omaha, NE and Dennis (Tammy) Kruse of Fairfield, IA, 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 6 siblings: James Schroeder, Ray Schroeder and Don Schroeder of Grinnell, KS, Ken Schroeder of Oakley, KS, Ethel Ziegler of Collyer, KS and Carol Marurlh of Mesquite, NV.

She was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, grandparents, infant son: Thomas and 1 sister: Doris.
