Elizabeth Donna Manning

March 2, 1991 — October 20, 2007

Elizabeth Donna Manning, age 16, of Brighton, died in a farm-related accident, Saturday, October 20, 2007.

Funeral services were conducted 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Fairfield High School Gymnasium in Fairfield. Pastor Wayne Wilken l officiated and Pastor Marvin Robeck offered the Reading.

Following the High School Service, a private family service was held at Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville. Interment followed in Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Germanville, IA.

The family requests NO FLOWERS TO BE SENT and asks that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to a scholarship fund for Elizabeth's younger sisters; Emily and Amber Manning.

Elizabeth Donna Manning was born March 2, 1991 in Iowa City, IA. She was the daughter of Craig and Mary (Schantz) Manning, and sister of Emily and Amber.

Elizabeth was talented and creative in many ways. Her gifts included helping others when she spent the summer of 2006 involved in mission work around the state of Iowa for the Children Evangelism Fellowship. She loved children and worked for Fairfield's Community Child Care Center.

Elizabeth was a member of 4-H Round Prairie Echoes and the FFA. Athletically, she was a team-mate of Fairfield Girl's Cross Country Team and the Raymond's sponsored A.S.A. Softball Team.

Elizabeth was a very devout Christian and loved her Lord. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville, IA and Hope Lutheran Church Luther League. She was Sweet Sixteen First Runner-Up in the Midwest Old Thresher's Reunion 2007 in Mt. Pleasant, IA.

Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Craig and Mary Manning of Brighton and her younger sisters; Emily and Amber, and her maternal grandparents, Donald and Mary Schantz of Washington, IA. Survivors include her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Elizabeth will be loved and remembered by her many friends. "She was always smiling."

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Donna Manning.
