Ella "Norine" Lindfield age 96, formally of Waterloo passed away, Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Parkview Care Center, Fairfield, IA 52556

Visitation will be 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, August 1. 2013, Thursday at Behner Funeral Home & Crematory in Fairfield, IA.

Graveside Service will be Friday, August 2, 2013 11:00 am at Garden of Memories, Waterloo, Iowa with Pastor Art Sathoff officiating.

Norine was born July 6, 1917 at Cedar Rapids, IA to Carl J and Vera (Bates) Meyers. She married Earl V Lindfield December 31, 1938. Earl passed away September 17, 1963 in Waterloo, IA.

Norine was a teacher and worked over 25 years for the AEA7 of Waterloo as a work study coordinator. She continued her education after her family was grown earning 2 specialist degrees in Special Education areas. She enjoyed traveling and roamed Europe with her sister. Norine loved researching her family history. She was a member of AAUW and several book clubs in Waterloo. She was a lifelong resident of Waterloo until she moved to Fairfield February 2009.

Norine is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter: Michael R Lindfield of Philippines, Gail (Craig) Miller of Fairfield, IA Larry (Carol) Lindfield of Green Cove Springs, FL, Richard Lindfield of Brandon, FL.; 5 Grandchildren: Justin Miller, Christine Lindfield, Rochelle Graham, Ryan Lindfield and Christopher Lindfield; 3 great Grandchildren; 2 brothers: Donald Meyers of Michigan, Veryl (Shirley) Meyers of Naples, FL; 1 sister Carlene Burri of San Francisco, CA; 1 brother - in - law: Rex Bates of Sequim, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters: Lorna McCarty and Reva Bates.
