Enid Bernice Brown

Enid Bernice Brown, age 97, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

Visitation for family and friends, will be held 1 hour prior to the service, on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Barker. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Jefferson County Health Center Women's Auxiliary and mailed to Larry Swanson 24 Venetian Clear Lake, Iowa 50428.

Enid was born in Fairfield on July 28, 1912, to Henry and Elsie Nelson Swanson. She eloped with Zell Percy Brown. He preceded her on June 9, 1968. Enid was a homemaker, she enjoyed her terrier "Fristy", raised saddle horses with Zell, was a clerk at livestock sale barns in the area, enjoyed growing flowers and loved golf. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Elk's Lodge #1192, Walton Club and a Bridge Club.

Enid is survived by 3 nephews, Larry Swanson of Clear Lake, Iowa, Bob Swanson of Denver, Colorado and Steve Swanson of Silverthorne, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
