Enid Arlene Ames Brown

Enid A. Brown, age 87, formerly of Fairfield, and Winterset, IA, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007 at Halcyon House in Washington, IA.

Following her wishes, the body was cremated and a memorial service was be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA. Rev. Dave Peterson officiated.

The family requests memorials be made to the Halcyon House-Good Samaritan Fund.

Enid Arlene Brown was born July 22, 1919 in Afton, IA, the daughter of Edwin and Tabitha (Justice) Ames. She graduated from Afton High School and was united in marriage with Earl W. Brown on November 18, 1945 in Afton. They are the parents of two children; Martin E. Brown of New York, NY, and Linda D. Brown of Washington, IA.

The family lived in Winterset, and moved to Fairfield in 1968. Enid was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of P.E.O. and TTT. Enid and Earl moved to Washington, IA in 2002. Earl passed away January of 2005.

Surviving are her children, Martin and Linda, and one sister, Bernita Siddens of Afton, IA.

Enid was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and three sisters.
