Esther Eileen Beswick was born October 13, 1923 in Birmingham, IA, the daughter of Albert and Dulcea (Gire) Canaday. She graduated from Birmingham High School and married Gerald Beswick on April 27, 1946 in Fairfield, IA. They were the parents of two children, Joyce and Jerry.

Esther lived her life in the Stockport community as a farm homemaker and mother. She worked in the Stockport Telephone Office and was manager of Congregate Senior Citizen Site Meals. Esther belonged to the Square Dance Club and the Laugh-A-Lot Club.

Esther is survived by her husband, Gerald, daughter Joyce Ackermann and her husband, George of Mt. Vernon, IA and son Jerry Beswick of Stockport, IA. Esther was grandmother to Jessica Kilgore and Janelle Beswick. Survivors include one brother, Ernest Canaday of Fairfield.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Ralph, Fred and Carroll Canaday.
