Eugene Harold Fulton

Eugene Fulton, age 72 of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Ottumwa Regional Hospital in Ottumwa, IA.

Open visitation will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 at Behner funeral Home in Fairfield between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Eugene requested his family not be present at the visitation and to have a closed casket.

Graveside funeral services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 10:30 AM, with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

Eugene H. Fulton was born October 8, 1936 to Harold and Dorothy (Watson) Fulton in Fairfield, IA. He married Beverly Miller November 8, 1957.

Eugene was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. He owned and operated Fulton Construction and was engaged in farming. Eugene enjoyed landscaping, and decorated his home at Christmas for others to enjoy.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Beverly, of 51 years. They were blessed with three dedicated boys: Rodney and his children Amanda, Alyson, Maryn, and Jon; Kirk (Laura) and their children Chelsea and Ashley; and Kent and his children Gunnar and Kaley.

Eugene is also survived by his siblings: Larry Fulton and Karen of Fairfield, IA, Denny Fulton and Luetta of Stockport, IA, Roger Fulton and Lavonne of New London, IA, Randy Fulton and Mary Ellen of Decorah, IA, Rose Ann Ferrel and Phil of Fairfield, IA, and Joy Menze and Ed of New London, MO.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Roxie Fulton.
