Faith Ledger

Faith "Maxine" Ledger, age 81, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fathers Stephen C. Page, Chuck Adam and Richard Adam officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 14, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rosary at 7:00 p.m., followed by prayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sunnybrook Living Care Center Activity Fund or Hospice of Central Iowa.

Maxine was born in Pleasant Plain, Iowa on February 8, 1929 to Elbert and Olivia Macy Elmore. She married Donald Charles Ledger on March 5, 1953. He passed away on January 6, 2005.

Maxine was a beautician and a farm homemaker. She farmed and lived in Blackhawk Township and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Maxine is survived by 6 children: Joseph C. (Mary Ann) Ledger of Fairfield, Michael L. (Patty) Ledger of Packwood, Randall G. (Lori) Ledger of Eldora, Rebecca S. Ledger of Pella, Sandra K. Ledger of Cedar Rapids and Debra A. (Jake) Werner of Leonard, North Dakota, 13 grandchildren: Dr. Sarah (Jacob) Dodds of Mt. Pleasant, Emily Ledger of Fairfield, Elizabeth (Brett) Walderbach of Des Moines, Andrew (Rachel) Ledger of Wilton, Aaron Ledger of Packwood, Jennifer Ledger of Waukee, Matthew (Krystal) Ledger of Washington, Illinois, Brandon (Nicole) Ledger of Ames, Gabrielle Ledger of Pella, Michelle (Jesse) Schaner of Nampa, Idaho, Christopher Werner of Salt Lake City, Utah, Zachary Werner of Frisco, Texas and Abigail Werner of Lubbock, Texas and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother: Eugene Elmore and 2 sisters: Bonnie Stout and Marie Rogers.
