A Celebration of Life was held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, Iowa.
A reception followed the service at her home at 909 East Briggs Avenue in Fairfield.

Frances Cuciti was born February 4, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Joe and Charlotte Matano. She married Dutch Haaland July 19, 1980.
Frances and Dutch lived in California before moving to Fairfield in 2001. She was director of many social work agencies, including Neighborhood Youth Association in West Los Angeles.
After moving to Fairfield, Frances became involved with many local organizations. She was chairwoman of the board of First Friday's Art Walk. She volunteered with the Jefferson County Democratic Party, Noah's Ark Animal Shelter, Women for Women, the Beat Box and served as a consultant with ResCare. She also worked with the mayor on the Fairfield Jobs Committee.
She was the beloved wife of Dutch Haaland of Fairfield, beloved mother of R.J. Haaland of Washington state, beloved sister of Eleanor Matano of Virginia, Janice Ferdon of Oregon, Mary Farrell of Los Angeles, CA, Alfred Matano of Madison, WI, and Marty Donaldson of Long Island, NY, beloved step-daughter of Ellen Matano, also of Long Island and beloved by many other friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
