George “Buddy” Edwin Kiews, age 85, formally of Packwood, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society –Ottumwa.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, February 9, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Frosty VanVoorst officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Abingdon Cemetery, Abingdon, IA.
Visitation for family and friends will be held 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm, Monday, February 9, 2015 prior to the service at Behner Funeral Home.

“Buddy” was born July 25, 1929 to William C. and Bula Pearl (Harrison) Kiews in Packwood, IA.
“Buddy” served in the US Army during the Korean War. He lived all his life in Packwood and was a farmer. “Buddy” was a member of American Legion and Draft Horse Association. Every year he looked forward to volunteering at Old Threshers in Mt. Pleasant, IA.
“Buddy” is survived by one brother, Marvin Kiews of Batavia, IA; one sister, Doris Hicks of Rose Hill, IA; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Bula Kiews; and one great niece, Molly Dugger.
