Gerald A. Martin, age 93, of Fairfield, IA, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.

Friends may pay their respects to the family 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Gerald A. Martin was born December 31, 1913 in Fairfield, IA. He was the son of Alvin and Emma (McWilliams) Martin. Gerald was a lifelong resident of the Fairfield community.

He was united in marriage with Mildred Ruth Neiswenger in 1936. They are the parents of two children: Galen and Everett. Mildred passed away January 14, 2004.

Gerald was a devoted husband and father. He farmed all his life, and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Gerald is survived by his sons and their families: Galen Martin and wife Susan of Fairfield, IA, and Everett Martin and wife Sharon of Stoutsville, MO. He has three grandchildren: Rob Martin, Thad Martin, and Glynna Robinson.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred, his grandson, Eric Martin, two brothers: Roy and Glen Martin, and one sister, Lena Martin.
