GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL BE HELD 10:00 AM, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2005 AT MEMORIAL LAWN CEMETERY WITH REV. DANNY CARY OFFICIATION. BURIAL WILL BE IN MEMORIAL LAWN.

Active- John Roush, LeRoy Roush, Dan Glass, Bob Glass, Vic Mallinger and Doug Newbold.

Gilbert "Gib" Mallinger was born in Packwood, IA on May 28, 1938, the son of Llewellyn G. and Leoma Faye (Russell) Mallinger. He was the father of Kathleen, Craig, Scott, Kimberly, and Brian.
Gib lived most of his life in Jefferson County, Iowa. He was employed by Whitney's Monument Company, Bob Glass' Skelly Station, Stockport Texaco and he was a truck driver for Admiral Trucking in the Tri-Cities. Gib was an avid fisherman.
Gib is survived by his children and their families; Kathleen Thornton, Scott Mallinger and Kimberly Mallinger all of Davenport, IA, Craig Mallinger of Evansville, WY and Brian Crawford of St. Paul, MN. Gib had 8 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Also surviving are a stepbrother, Dennis Mercer and a stepsister, Virginia Peters, both of Fairfield and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceasing Gib are his parents, daughter, Deborah Kay Mallinger, infant son LeRoy, Jr., 2 brothers, Richard and Victor Mallinger, and a stepbrother, Darrell Mercer.
