Gloria J. Conyers, age 48, of Fairfield, IA, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

Family visitation will be held Sunday, December 14, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 15, 2008 at 10:00 AM, with Pastor D.J. Danner officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Gloria J. Conyers was born October 29, 1960 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Ralph and Vivian (Cudworth) Kempf. She married Donald Conyers. Gloria was a homemaker.

She is survived by her mother, Vivian Kempf of Washington, IA, and her children and their families: Dawna Kurnes of Fairfield, IA, Tami Kurnes of Ottumwa, IA, and Amy Conyers of Fairfield. Gloria has four grandchildren: Kyle Kurnes, Diego Coronel, Cataleena Rodriguez, and Jose Rodriguez. Survivors include her siblings: Ralph Kempf of Ft. Madison, IA, Carolyn Sanderson of Libertyville, IA, Paul Kempf of Hillsboro, IA, Wilda Prevett of Stockport, IA, Donald Kempf of Hedrick, IA, Chester Kempf of Fairfield, IA, and Gary Kempf of What Cheer, IA.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Henry Kempf.
