Gregory “Greg” Lee Nance, age 53, of Libertyville passed away April 8, 2014 at his home.

Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30 am – 11:00 am, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville, Iowa

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville, Iowa with Pastor Elizabeth Bell officiating. Burial will be at Fell Cemetery, Libertyville, IA

Greg was born April 21, 1960 to Donald and Wanda (Hunter) Nance in Fairfield, IA.

He graduated from Fairfield High School Class 1979. He lived in the Jefferson County his entire life. Greg worked 35 years as a laborer with the last 14 years at Hickenbottom Inc. He was known as a “Fix it Man”. He would pick up items that didn’t work; (appliances, lamps, bicycles, etc.) get it to work and then give it away to somebody in need. Greg enjoyed working on cars. He enjoyed watching boxing and was a Nascar fan. Greg enjoyed water skiing and riding his motorcycle.

Greg is survived by his dad and step mom, Don and Marilyn Nance; 1 brother, Jeff Nance of Marion, IA; 2 sisters, Ronda (J. Michael) Burke of Fairfield, IA and Amy (Terry) Nance Mendiola of Houston, TX; 3 Step sisters, Linda (Alan) Benning of Waverly, IA, Rhonda (Steve) Aikens of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX and Vicki (Alan) Rebling of Washington, IA; special nephews, Hunter Symmonds and Dustin Burke; special niece, Jayden Burke; and special friends, Kathleen Williams and Sue Pool.

He was preceded in death by his Mom, Step Grandfather, Maternal Grandparents and Paternal Grandparents.
