Helen Marian (Gallup) Fulton died June 26, 2014 at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids, Iowa.

Funeral Service will be held 1:30 pm, Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Jessica Rockhold Gauld officiating. Burial will be at Fell Cemetery, Libertyville, Iowa

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Monday, June 30, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home.

She was born on July 14, 1922, the daughter of Lee and Helen (Parsons) Gallup. Helen's mother passed away shortly after childbirth and Helen was lovingly raised by Jessie (Hoffman) Gallup.

Helen attended Fairfield High School, graduating with the class of 1940. She then received her RN degree from Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She began her career at Jefferson County Hospital in 1958, retiring as obstetrics supervisor in 1984.

On July 10, 1944, she married Harold Fulton. Together they farmed in the Libertyville area until retirement.

Helen is survived by her children, Linda (Joe) Salerno of Westminster, Colorado, Judy (Steve) Davis of Davenport, Iowa, Richard (Karla) Fulton of Carroll, Iowa, Mary Weaver of Frederick, Maryland; grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Kristin Davis, Melissa (Keith) Fulton Swinford and John Fulton; three great grandchildren, Sydney, Addison, and Kamryn Swinford; 1 sister, Norma Boslough of Louisville, Colorado, and brother-in-law Edd (Dot) Fulton of Wichita, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, a brother Elden Gallup and her son-in-law Wally Weaver.
