Jack Henry Gardner, age 70 of Argyle, IA, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Great River Hospice House, Burlington, IA.
Per his wishes his body has been cremated.
Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30 am – 10:30 am, Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Argyle Presbyterian Church, Argyle, IA.
The Memorial service will be 10:30 am, Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Argyle Presbyterian Church with Pastor Bill Willis officiating. There will be Military rites after the service. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Jack Henry Gardner was born May 14, 1944, to Henry Jordan and Ruth (Clarke) Gardner at the US Naval Hospital in San Diego, CA. He married Marilyn Weber Laird October 9, 1999, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Kimberling City, MO.
Jack served in the Navy during Vietnam. He was a laborer at Arizona Mines and a Chef in a restaurant. Jack liked to go deep sea fishing, play the piano, and cooking/making candy and giving it to friends. Some of his favorite food was Mexican, root beer and ice cream.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gardner of Argyle, IA; one daughter, Crystal (Brent) Fox of Willard, MO; two sons, Scott (Loretta) Gardner of Nixa, MO and Timothy (Jennifer) Gardner of Marshfield, MO; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Nicole (Christopher) White, Rianna Michelle Gardner, Nehemiah Joshua Gardner, Natania Nicole Gardner, Addison Lynn Gardner, Kaiman Lee Henry Gardner, and Kaiya Lynne Elizabeth Gardner; two brothers, Gary Gardner of Hamlet, OR and Donald (Sue) Gardner of Bolivar, MO; one sister, Ruth (Fred) Uhlman of Glenpool, OK.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruth Gardner, 2 brothers, Kenneth and Jordan Gardner; one daughter, Terri Lynne Meyers; and one granddaughter, Kelsey Lynne Bedwell.
