James "Robert" Cubbage, age 85 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Alberts officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be in Fell Cemetery south of Libertyville.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, June 6, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Behner Funeral Home.

Robert was born August 7, 1925 to Ruben James and Cora Elmina Brown Cubbage in Libertyville. He married Betty Jane Black on February 27, 1946 at the Bloomfield Parsonage.
He was a dozer operator for his whole life, farmed and was a machinist at Rockwell for 25 years. He also served in World War II with the United States Army.
Robert is survived by his wife, 4 children: Betty Janette Campbell of Batavia, Cora Ruth (Russell) Rippey of Libertyville, Roberta Ann (Randy) Fleig of Fairfield and Harold Robert (Kathy) Cubbage of Libertyville, 6 grandchildren: Robert Campbell, Michelle Campbell, Robyn Rippey, Renea Rippey, Jason Cubbage and Amy Scotton, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 siblings: Eugene Cubbage of Batavia and Violet Hyde of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers: Leonard, Richard, Harold and Charlie, 3 sisters: Mary Cloke, Irene Adams and Lucile Tedrow and 1 grandson: Jim Morgenski.
