James Dean Huffman

James Dean Huffman, age 68, of Douds, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2006 at Hospice in Ottumwa, IA.

His body will be cremated, with memorial services to be held at a later date.

James Dean Huffman was born in Keosauqua, IA on July 28, 1938, the son of Wilbert S. and Lucille (Roberts) Huffman. He was united in marriage with Judith Ann Watkins on June 8, 1957 in Keosauqua, IA. They are the parents of five children: Tony, Tracy, Troy, Tanya and Trina.

James was an airman in the US Airforce. He was a construction supervisor for 40 years for HUDD. After retirement, he was grounds supervisor for M.U.M., as well as maintenance at Nelson Nursing Home.

James is survived by his wife, Judith, and their children and families: Tony Huffman and wife Shelly of Stockport, IA, Tracy Weldon and husband Charles of Knoxville, IA, Troy Huffman and wife Margaret of Eldon, IA, and Trina Simmons and husband Jim of Libertyville, IA. James has 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Survivors include one brother, Jerry Huffman and wife Mary of St. Louis, MO.

James was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tanya Huffman, sister Betty Arnold and three brothers: Donnie, Jack and Joe Huffman.
