James Stanley Weller age 56, of Davenport,IA passed away January 31, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport following a sudden heart attack.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 6 PM at Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport where a prayer service will be offered at 5:30 PM. All are invited to attend.
A funeral service and Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Fairfield, IA at 10:30 AM, Thursday, February 5, 2009 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, until time of Mass. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Foundation in lieu of flowers. Cards and memorials may be sent c/o:

James Stanley Weller was born July 20, 1952 in Sedalia, MO to Charles B. and Doris (Clifford) Weller, Jr. of Fairfield, IA. Jim was a graduate of Fairfield High School and attended St. Ambrose College. He was a 1974 graduate of Marycrest College and graduated cum laude in 1977 from Franciscan Hospital School of Nursing, Rock Island, IL. Jim had been employed as an RN at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City and an RN at Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport.
Mr. Weller was a member of American Nurses Association, founding board member and past president of Iowa Psychiatric Nurses Association, member and past state representative of American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and a board member of St. Vincent Home Corporation.
In addition to his parents, Jim is survived by his brothers, Dale and Mike, both of Omaha, NE, his sister, Linda and her husband Vern Reiner of Fairfield, IA, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and his extended Quad-City family.
