James “Jimmy” Darnell Williams Jr., age 51 of Cedar Rapids passed away, June 25, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, IA.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

There will not be any visitation.

James “Jimmy” was born May 4, 1963 to James Darnell and Lynnette Marie (Baldwin) Williams Sr.in Fairfield, IA. He married Melinda “Mindy” Anne Lee December 27, 1986.

For the last 17 years Jimmy lived in Cedar Rapids. He worked in construction and was a factory worker. Jimmy loved to follow the Chicago Bears and muscle cars. He liked watching the TV show Bonanza. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Mindy Williams of Cedar Rapids; 2 sons, Tanner and Aaron Williams of Cedar Rapids; his Dad, James Williams Sr.; 2 brothers, Donald Williams and Jeremy Williams; 1 sister, Lynnette Hostetter; 3 half-brothers, Rick Hagans, Terry Hagans and Bobby Hagans.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Grandmother.
