Jerry "Oggy" Lee Ogden

Jerry "Oggy" Lee Ogden, age 65 of Libertyville, passed away at home on February 3, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Libertyville Faith United Methodist Church with Pastor Peg Ellingson officiating. Burial will be at Fell Cemetery, south of Libertyville.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cub Scout Pack 62. Cards and memorials may be sent to PO Box 153 Libertyville, Iowa 52567.

Jerry was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on May 17, 1945 to Devene and Eunice Shondel Ogden. He married Christine Rusk on July 18, 1969 in Fairfield, Iowa. He had worked as a machinist at Rockwell International for 22 years, retiring in 1995.

Jerry is survived by his wife: Christine, 3 children: Jodi (Glen) O'Dell of Ottumwa, Michael Ogden of Packwood and Jennifer (Jeff) Johannes of Libertyville, 5 grandchildren: Linna Matthews, Ryan O'Dell, Jason, Jamie and Julie Johannes and 7 siblings: Jackie Teeter, Rick Ogden, Gypsy Creech, Cheryle (Charlie) McDaniel, Tamara (Joe) Boughton, Dawn Boughton and Tycene Cline.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Devene and Eunice and 1 granddaughter: Jessica Johannes.
