JoAnn Johnson Pettigrew

Jo Ann Johnson Pettigrew, age 92, passed away January 26, 2024 in Gilbert, Arizona.

According to her wishes, her body has been cremated. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on May 10, 2024 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on May 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.  

Jo Ann was born June 16, 1931 to Carl Hiram and Zelma Beatrice Wise Angstead. She married Keith Ralph Johnson on August 19, 1951 and later married Paul Pettigrew on May 15, 2015. Jo Ann graduated from Fairfield High School and lived there for 59 years before moving to Arizona in 1990. 

She was a bookkeeper for several different businesses before retiring in 2012. 

Jo Ann is survived by two sons, Michael Johnson of Citrus Heights, California and David Johnson (Roberta) of Chatham, Illinois; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Hastings, Terri (Dustin Boone) Van-Deuren, Kyle Johnson (Abbie), Erik Johnson (Jayme), Alex Johnson, and Brad Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Sydney Hastings, Richard Hastings, Elizabeth Van-Deuren and Thomas Van-Deuren. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her two husbands, Keith and Paul, one brother, Jerry Angstead, and one son, Ronald Johnson.
