Joann Keller-Barker

Joann Keller-Barker, age 68 of Batavia, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics.

Memorial service and Inurnment will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Joann’s name to the Service Club for the Blind, Inc., 3719 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO 63109-1236.  Cards and memorials may be mailed to Rex Barker, 1274 Brookville Road, Batavia, IA 52533.

Joann was born May 23, 1951, in St. Louis, MO.  She married J. “Rex” Barker on November 30, 2016, in Packwood, IA.

Joann was a teacher and worked with the blind before she retired.    She loved her 3 cats dearly.  Joann had done some traveling.  She and Rex were looking forward to traveling to various states and visit their friends.

She will be missed by her husband, Rex; her children, Ted Hall, Lisa (Miguel) Albaladejo, Jay (Jennifer) Hall; step children, Gloria and Larry; 4 grandchildren, Briar, Brittany, Kai and Marley; and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael.
