John Wilson Davis "Doc Foot", age 85, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the home of his daughter, Susie Steinbeck, in Fairfield.
Per his request, his body has been cremated.
There will be a Celebration of Life service on Tuesday August 30, 2011at 4:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Golf and Country Club .
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairfield Golf and Country Club or to the Presbyterian Church Music Department in Bella Vista, Arkansas.

John was born on January 20, 1926 in Centerville, Iowa to Frank and Edith Packard Davis. He married Janet Mortenson and they later divorced. He married Sharron McGuire and they later divorced.
He was a Doctor of Podiatry and practiced podiatry in Fairfield, Ottumwa and Washington for 45 years. He graduated from the Illinois College of Podiatry and attended the University of Dubuque and the University of Iowa. John was a member of Presbyterian Church and American Legion in Bella Vista, Arkansas, American Podiatric Medical Association, Fairfield Golf and Country Club and Elks Lodge #1192. His hobbies included golf, officiating sports, reading, crossword puzzles and playing cards.
John is survived by two children: John (Carroll) Davis "Packy" of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Susan Steinbeck of Fairfield, one adopted son: Daniel (Rebecca) Davis of Bella Vista, Arkansas, two grandchildren: Sommer Steinbeck (Roger) Lyons of Fairfield and Devon Steinbeck of Southern Pines, North Carolina and one great-grandson: JaShawn Lane.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Janet and one sister: Helen Davis Phillips.
