John Barker Dodds, 86, of Lincoln,Ne. died Tuesday September 7, 2010, widower of Elva Jean Dodds.

Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday September 11, 2010 at Fairfield Seventh-day Adventist Church, Fairfield, IA with Pastor Sylvester Case officiating. Burial with military honors at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation: 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at Behner Funeral Home, 203 South Main Street, Fairfield, IA.

Born April 22, 1924 in Keosauqua, Iowa to Ralph and Edith (Barker) Dodds. John married Elva Jean Haifley on August 26, 1948 in Fairfield at the Methodist Church. He was a retired Farmer and a WWII Veteran.

Family members include sons, daughters-in-law: Larry and Jane Dodds, Granite Bay, CA, Ron and Gerry Dodds, Lincoln, Sheryl Dodds, Orlando, FL; grandchildren, spouses: Greg and Amy Dodds, Kristianne and Jeremy Connell, Amy and Nick Bock, Bryan and Jessie Dodds, Kelly and Matt Boyd, Rick and Victoria Dodds; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Ruth Dodds, Fairfield, IA.

Preceded in death by parents, wife, son: Terry, brother: Keith and sister: Jerri Yenter.
