John Stansberry, 95, died on January 9, 2013 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
The Funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 am at Behner Funeral Home. Burial with Military rites will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. with Masonic Rites.
Memorials will be to VFW and Hospice Compassus.

John was born February 20, 1917 in Libertyville to James S. and Rhea J. Byers Stansberry. He married Erma Eileen Daub on April 9, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa.
John enlisted in the Navy after high school and was serving on the USS West Virginia when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. After retiring from the Navy in 1955, he returned to the Libertyville area and started working at the Atomic Energy Commission in Burlington. He was part owner in S & R Equipment. He became a licensed realtor and worked for himself. He worked as Project Director Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio for Senior Community Service Employment Program under the Department of Labor. He and his wife retired to McAllen, Texas in 1972, where he worked for the Mission Water District as manager until 1975. John was a 50 year member of the Masons, and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, two sons, Jim (Donna) Stansberry, Pacifica, California, John (Bev) Stansberry, McAllen, Texas; two daughters, Debra (Doug) Rodibaugh, Littleton, Colorado and Andra (Dennis) Adam of Fairfield, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and three sisters Kay Brumm, Indianola, Thelma Roland, Birmingham and Jeannie Christenson, Chetek, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert and one grandson.
