Judith A Huffman, age 73 of Douds, IA passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

Per her wishes her body has been cremated. A private Memorial service will beThursday at Fellow Cemetery at Keosauqua,Ia.

Judith was born to Earl and Hazel (McElwain) Watkins March 23, 1940 in Keosauqua. She married James Dean Huffman June 8, 1957 in Keosauqua. He passed away on November 19, 2006.

Judith graduated from Van Buren High School in 1957. She was a lifelong resident of Van Buren and Wapello Counties. Judith lived in Douds the last 6 years. She was a nurse and worked at Van Buren County Hospital, Good Samaritan and Ottumwa Manor where she retired in 1992.

Judith is survived by her 4 children: Tony (Shelly) of Stockport, IA, Tracy (Charles) Weldon of Knoxville, IA, Troy (Margaret) Huffman of Eldon, IA and Trina (Jim) Simmons of Libertyville, IA; 8 grandchildren: Spenser Huffman, Taelor Huffman, Sonya Test, Joe Provenzano, Amber Weldon, Mike Weldon, Dakota Simmons and Sierra Simmons; 6 great grandchildren and her sister: Shirley Riley of Des Moines.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Tanya Huffman and sisters: Patricia Cook, Iris Parsons, Jackie Jo Watkins and Nona Vail Watkins.
