June Naomi Mellott

June Naomi Mellott age 94, passed away November 23, 2014 at Jefferson County Health Center.

Per her request the body has been cremated and there will not be any service. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Belmond, Iowa.

June was born July 25, 1920 to John W and Naomi (Norris) Chapman in Belmond, Iowa.

June served as a waitress at Woody Restaurant, Bruce’s Restaurant and KC Restaurant. She liked embroidery, sewed quilts and picture scrapbooking. June enjoyed spending time with family.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Carolyn) Mellott of Fairfield, IA and Kathy (Charles) Ehlert of Carthage, IL; 6 grandchildren, Karen (Steve) Foshier, Kim Pruden, Rhonda Mellott, John (Sara) Mellott, Amber (Mike) Smith, and Jeff Mellott; 17 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lucille Berhow of Kanawha, IA and Darlene Tillman of Belmond, IA.

June was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Keith Mellott; and one sister, Mae Drury.
