Kai J. Druhl

     Kai J. Druhl, PhD, 81, a resident of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Prestige Care Center in Fairfield.

     Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

     Kai was born May 1, 1943 in Germany. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Hamburg in 1970. Kai subsequently worked as a staff scientist for the Max Planck Society at their institutes in Starnberg and Garching. In 1980 he joined the University of New Mexico (Institute for Modern Optics) and later moved to Fairfield where he was a physics professor at Maharishi International University. His final teaching position was at Indian Hills Community College.
