Karen Ann Sisk

Karen Ann (Ross) Sisk, age 66 of Fairfield passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Jefferson County Health Center.

Per her wishes she has been cremated. A graveside memorial service will be Friday, August 1, 2014, 10:30 am at Memorial Lawn, Fairfield, IA with Pastor Brant Knudsen officiating.

Karen was born April 15, 1948 in Fairfield, IA to Leonard and Wanda Maxine (Smith) Ross. She married Jerry L Sisk May 21, 1993 in Fairfield. He passed away June 5, 1999.

She graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1966. She worked in the Fairfield area until 2003. Karen considered all her friends her family because she was an only child. She loved her cats and considered them part of her family. She loved to laugh, play jokes on her friends, loved NASCAR. Karen just loved people and loved giving and getting hugs. She never met a stranger. Karen loved talking to anyone.

Karen is survived by 2 step children, Roxanne Hope (Kelly) Stockdale of Jewell, IA, Michelle Sisk of Fairfield, IA; 4 step grandchildren, Trenton and Kayden Stockdale, Anthony and Trista Sisk; 1 step great granddaughter, Makiya Sisk; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Wanda Ross; grandparents, husband, Jerry L Sisk; and several Aunts and Uncles.
