Kathryn Margaret Allender

Kathryn Margaret Allender, age 95, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Parkview Care Center.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield with Pastor Mark Brase officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.

Kathryn was born on March 4, 1916 in Washington, Iowa to Floyd A. and Eva Margaret Anderson Bower. She married Clarence Jacob "Jake" Allender on December 24, 1936 at the Baptist Parsonage in Lockridge. He passed away on September 7, 1970.

She was a laborer at Fairfield Glove Company for 38 years and retired in 1981. She was affiliated with Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairfield, V.F.W. and Ladies Circle at church (ILLC).

Kathryn is survived by her sister: Frances Roland, several nieces and 1 nephew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers: John and Lester and 1 sister: Charlotte Steele.
