Kathryn Eulalia Champ

Kathryn E. Champ, age 84,of Fairfield, passed away Friday, August 11, 2006 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

Funeral services were held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at the New Life Community Church in Fairfield with Pastor Jim McGaffey officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the New Life Community Church Missions, or Parkview Care Center Activity Fund.

Kathryn Eulalia Champ was born October 19, 1921 in Fairfield, Iowa, the daughter of Fay Oral and Eulalia Sylvania (Carlow) Champ. She was a 1940 graduate of Fairfield High School.

Kathryn was an office clerk with Woolworth's Department Store for 181/2 years and at Spurgeon's Department Store for another 22 1/2 years. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church and the Sunday School treasurer, as well as a Steward and Sunday School Teacher. Kathryn was a member of WMI (Women's Missionary International)

Kathryn was the last of 10 children and is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and three sisters: Marion, Clarence, Wayne, John, Oren, Robert, Jean Champ, Mary Kisling, and Charlotte Champ.
