Kay Weidner

Kay Weidner, age 89 of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Parkview Care Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Diane Brokken officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home.

Kay was born February 13, 1922 in Brighton, Iowa, to Glenn and Myrtle Teeter Dunbar.

She was an A.S.C.S. Clerk and retired in 1984. She was an avid NASCAR fan and liked to read, dance and travel.

Kay is survived by 3 children: Dixie Smith of Warrenton, Missouri, Carol Parkin of Fairfield and Nancy (Rod) Dunster of Lakeland, Florida, 4 grandchildren: Mark Smith of LaBelle, Missouri, Scott (Emily) Smith of State College, Pennsylvania, Lori (Kirk) Landrum of Laurel, Mississippi and Kristin Parkhurst of Fairfield, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 siblings: Shirley Maxwell of Kearney, Nebraska and Glenn Dunbar Jr. of Daytona Beach, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters: Ruthmary Fuhr and Jessie Lambert.
