Keith Arden Campbell

Keith A. Campbell, age 81 of Fairfield, IA, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Mercy Hospital Hospice in Iowa City, IA.

Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, October 25th at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield on Monday, October 26th, with Rev. Jim Wotherspoon officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Keith Arden Campbell was born in Mt. Sterling, IA on January 4, 1928 to Ernest and Lela (Bell) Campbell. He attended Fairfield High School, and later served in the Merchant Marines and the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He was united in marriage with Eva Wyatt on June 8, 1946 in Bay St. Louis, MS.

Keith was a foundry worker for FALCO in Fairfield for 33 years. He was a member of the American Legion and Fairfield Eagles Lodge #1927.

Surviving Keith is his wife, Eva of Fairfield, and son Jerry Campbell of Des Moines, IA; and his siblings: Anna Lundgren of Santa Rosa, CA, David Campbell of Grimes, IA, Dick Campbell of Eldon, IA, Mike Campbell of Fairfield, Norman Campbell of Spokane, WA, Danny Campbell of Fairfield, and Kay Costello of Des Moines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children: Sandra Campbell, Dustin Campbell, Joann Campbell; and sister Sara Campbell.
