Lacy Loving, age 81 of Stockport, IA, passed away at his home, Thursday, April 23, 2009.

Friends may pay their condolences beginning 10:00 AM, Sunday, April 26, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Stockport Christian Church with Rev. John Griffith officiating. Interment will be in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport.

Lacy Loving was born January 31, 1928 in Stockport, IA to Lacy C. and Eva G. (Atwood) Loving. He graduated from Stockport High School. He was united in marriage with Stella Edna Bruegge on January 31, 1950. She preceded him in death on July 1, 1996.

Mr. and Mrs Loving owned and operated L & L Ayrshire Farm, and farmed in Cedar Township until their retirement in 1995. His many memberships included Glasgow Methodist Church; Dairy Herd Improvement Assoc; State and National Ayrshire Sale Committee; Director of Ayrshire Breeders Assoc; Vice-President of Iowa Ayrshire Assoc. and he served as a delegate for Dairy Farmers of America. Mr. Loving was recognized for Farm Family of the Year for Jefferson County in 1971.

Mr. Loving is survived by his children and their families: David (Deanna) Loving of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Elaine (Wendell) Lunsford of Stockport, IA, Dale (Teresa) Loving of New London, IA, Ellen (Ray) Snyder of Stockport, IA, Darrell (Cecilia) Loving of Richland, IA, Eilene Buch and fiance Richard Swartz of Batavia, IA, Daniel (Angela) Loving of Birmingham, IA, and Elizabeth (Randy) Gates of Douds, IA. Mr Loving was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Including his wife, Mr. Loving was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Amy and Shane; and two sisters, Waunita Smith and Wyona Dorothy.
