Larry Haven Griffin Sr

Larry Haven Griffin Sr., age 67 of Richland, formally of Fairfield passed away, Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinic, Iowa City, IA.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Friday, December 12, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, IA.

Per his wish his body has been cremated. Burial of cremains will be Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:30 pm at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.

Larry was born March 28, 1947 in Fairfield to William and Lila (Hoskins) Griffin.

Larry worked for Chrome Crankshaft as a mechanic. He was an avid baseball fan and his favorite team was the Los Angeles Dodgers, and also watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved spending time with his grandkids and family

He is survived by his 5 children, Larry H. (Dawn Huizenga) Griffin Jr. of Port Byron, IL, Mathew Griffin of Davenport, IA, Christopher Griffin of Cedar Rapids, IA, Robyn (Dustin Roll) Griffin of Fairfield, Iowa and Travis (Bridget) Griffin of Des Moines, IA; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Savannah, Chance, Miley and Kandyce; 1 great granddaughter; one brother, Robert Griffin of Rock Island, IL; one sister, Tammy Edwards of Des Moines, IA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy and Terry Griffin; one sister, Sue Mowery; and one granddaughter, Angel Griffin.
