Larry Dean Zerby

Larry Dean Zerby age 73 of Stockport, formally of New Columbia, PA passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Jefferson County Health Center, Fairfield, IA.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, December 4, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Chaplin officiating. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, IA.

Larry was born January 23, 1942 to Guy and Mildred (Carter) Zerby of Aaronsburg, PA. He married Lana Owens August 28, 1996 in Winchester, VA.

Larry has lived in Iowa for 15 years. He worked 40 years as a carpenter/construction with most of those years being self-employed. Larry enjoyed hunting, cooking, playing cards, doing woodworking/carpentry, and building furniture in his work shop. He enjoyed visiting with family, friends and his dog “Casey”. Larry attended the Stockport Christian Church.

Larry is survived by his wife, Lana Zerby of Stockport, IA; Mike (Bonnie) Zerby of Milton, PA, Michele Mowery of Williamsport, PA and James Zerby of Selinsgrove, PA; 7 grandchildren, Andy Squier, Cody Zerby, Brent Zerby, Oksana Zerby, Jesica White, Julia Zerby and Kayla Zerby; 2 great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Mabus of Selinsgrove, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents, Guy and Mildred Zerby; and one brother, Dale Zerby.
