Lawrence Joseph Roe, age 85 formerly of Fairfield passed away on Saturday October 17, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:00pm -2:00pm , Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, IA.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Behner Funeral home with Father Joseph Phung officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Lawrence was born January 18, 1930 in Waterloo, IA to Thomas and Edna( Dvorsky) Roe. He married Lois Keller on January 26, 1950 at St. Mary’s Church in Fairfield, IA.
Lawrence was a mechanic for many years; he always had a welder and crow bar attached to his hip. Lawrence enjoyed working on and restoring cars for anyone. His second love was being on the tractor farming the land. Lawrence was a member of the Catholic Church and a past member of the Eagles club for many years. He and Lois enjoyed spending time together; they would spend their winters down in the Texas area. He loved listening to music and dancing. Lawrence especially loved spending time with his family.
Lawrence is survived by his wife Lois Roe of Marion, IA: One daughter Beverly Janice Davey of Cedar Rapids, IA: two grandchildren Ann Davey of Cedar Rapids, IA and Tyler (Lori) Davey of Austin, TX: two great-grandchildren Jett and London Davey of Austin, TX: one brother Jim Roe of Wilmington, OH: four sisters, Delores Wright of Cedar Rapids, IA, Ruth Newgaard of Cedar Rapids, Lorna Jerred of Anamosa, IA and Mary Check of Cedar Rapids, IA. Many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas and Edna Roe two brothers Raymond and Ralph Roe
