Lea Renea Ponce

Lea Renea Ponce age 20, passed away January 8, 2019.

Visitation for family & friends will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Monday, January 14, 2019, at Behner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Behner Funeral Home with words of comfort by Billy Mathis.  After the service she will be cremated.  Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family and mailed to 507 East Buchanan, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Lea was born September 19, 1998, in Iowa City to Daniel Ponce and Jennifer Matthess.

Lea had worked at Americ Inn in housekeeping.  Some of her outside interests were softball, soccer and dirt track racing.  Lea had a love for cows.  Anything with cows on it would catch her eye.  Most important to Lea was spending time with her kids and family.

She will be missed by her kids, Aleya and Kylor Simons; parents, Daniel Ponce and Jennifer Matthess; 3 siblings, Jedakyah Ponce, Levi Ponce and Drew Milner; grandmother, Colleen Tuttle; and Scott Thumma.

Lea was preceded in death by her grandmother, Audrey Thumma; grandfather, Joe Matthess; and sister, Tiffany Milner.
